Dancehall sensation Vybz Kartel is a featured artist on American R&B and pop star Chris Brown's 12th studio album titled BROWN (Breaking Rules Only When Necessary), which was released on Friday under RCA Records/CBE. The extensive 27-track album showcases an array of collaborations with prominent artists such as Bryson Tiller, Fridayy, GloRilla, Leon Thomas, Lucky Daye, Sexyy Red, and Tank.
Vybz Kartel partners with Brown on the energetic track "F&!k N Party," which was produced by T-Town. This marks the third occasion a Jamaican-born dancehall artist has been featured on a Chris Brown project, underlining Brown's appreciation for Caribbean musical influences.
In 2009, Sean Paul joined forces with Brown on the song "Brown Skin Girl," appearing on Brown’s Graffiti album. That track was produced by Scott Storch and contributed to the growing trend of Caribbean artists collaborating with international pop and R&B stars.
More recently, Brown’s 2023 album 11:11 included a notable collaboration titled "Nightmares" with Jamaican-born Byron Messia. The song is a vibrant blend of Afrobeats and dancehall styles, achieving chart success by reaching number 73 on the UK Singles Chart and number 22 on Billboard’s R&B Songs chart.
